Retiree Re-Staffing
Keeping the experience and expertise of retiring employees in a company is sometimes prevented by rules regarding pension and benefits plans. By making retirees the employees of SGI's contracting division they can keep valuable, experienced workers on staff without jeopardizing their retirement benefits.

Outplacement
Top quality programs can be tailored to meet the needs of an individual or group. This feature is designed for executives, middle managers, and long-term, or highly valued employees.

Contract Staffing
Gives access to top-notch, flexible professionals with up-to-date skill sets for specific time-limited projects, open-ended excess workload situations, or contract-to-direct (permanent) hire staffing plans. By using contractors, a company can lower headcount or keep projects running on time before additional hires are available. The contractor will be an employee of our contracting division freeing up human resource issues, Federal and State Taxation, Workers' Compensation, payroll, and unemployment liabilities. Rates are negotiated individually or comprehensively depending on a company's needs. To add an additional layer of protection from employment laws surrounding the use of self-employed contractors, we can also payroll 1099 workers.

Interim Executive Staffing
This is one of the hottest management strategies today, offering flexibility in a fast-changing environment. Corporations use this program when special expertise is required immediately, but are not ready to make a permanent commitment. An Interim Executive remains on our payroll while they work for the corporation. Frequently, our clients hire their Interim Executives, using this program to provide a trial period to determine whether the fit is right for both the client and the executive.

Staffing Partnerships
Whether an organization is a start-up or launching a new division, SGI will customize a staffing solution according to specific requirements as their human resources partner. Outsourcing this function to SGI allows the organization to focus on what it does best.

First SGI will develop a thorough profile of the company and each position, including company culture, detailed position requirements, staffing plans, and specific position descriptions. Once the company profile is complete and we have position approval, the Project Team begins our 7-Step Customized Search Process of:

  1. Research & Recruiting
  2. Reporting
  3. Candidate Assessment
  4. Interviewing
  5. Hiring
  6. Record Retention
  7. Client Follow-Up

Temp-to-Direct Hiring
Beneficial when a company wants to evaluate a candidate's skill level, technical ability, and personality before they make a direct ("permanent") hire offer. It is also used when "open requisitions" are not available but a qualified worker is needed immediately to fill a gap.

1099 Conversions
Converts "independent contractors" to legal W2 employees of our contracting division. To avoid payroll taxes, many workers are incorrectly classified as independent contractors instead of employees. By making these workers employees of SGI, prosecution by the IRS and state tax, unemployment and worker's compensation bureaus is avoided.

Payrolling
Occurs when a company finds a candidate suitable for a position but does not want to add them to the permanent payroll. Putting a person on the payroll of SGI's contracting division is risk-free while their acceptability as a permanent hire is evaluated.
